Well of Leaves Pagan Grove
We are a Traditional Gardnerian coven located in the Middle
Tennessee area. We are interested in serious inquiries only
concerning training with our Outer Court.
Prior to contacting our coven, PLEASE make sure you read over
this website throughly before requesting information about our
group. The better informed YOU are, the better questions you can
ask and you are more likely to know if Traditional training might
be to your liking. We get many inquiries for our coven and take
the time to reply individually. A seeker who takes the time to
educate themselves prior to contact with us is very helpful and
also shows they value our time as well as their own.
After viewing and studying the site, if you are interested in contacting us please send an
email using the icon below. In the email we would like to hear a little bit about you and
what you are hoping to find and experience in a coven. We do not train anyone under the age
of 18, please bear this in mind.
Our Philosophy on Teaching can be summed up in these short paragraphs:
As Teachers
"Our duty of care is to the quality of ...Training, the fineness of ...Judgment in selecting
Proper Persons, and ... Ability to teach what you were taught, AS you were taught it, with as
few enhancements or personal frills as possible.
~ Rhys of Blackthorn Coven (From Amber and Jet with permission)
As Students
"The initial payment of students needs to be the abandonment of the old ways, the turning
of the mind to new pursuits and the cultivation of new perspectives, and the willingness to
be led and to obey within the bonds of trust. Not cash. Cash is cheap compared to the real
price of learning the Craft of the Wise. It's learning to trust someone in a position of
authority and learning the discipline of how to follow, so that some day, you can lead."
(C) Adam ~ BTW Elder (From Amber and Jet with permission)
"The duty of the student is to understand the nature of Wiccan service to the Gods and to
the coven, and to honestly judge if that is what they want, and if yes, to listen intently and
with humility and gratitude that they are becoming part of a great family that stretches back
in time."

About us
The Nashville Coven is an oath bound lineaged coven of Gardnerian Wica. We limit our coven
size to 13 members. Our group is an active training and worship coven with several meetings
each month. We are not a social club, therapy or support group. We have a wonderful time,
help each other in times of need, and support individual growth both personal and spiritual.
But our main goal is the Work.
We follow the tradition of hierarchy within coven. The High Priestess leads, her High Priest as
Consort. Well of Leaves is our Outer Court Circle where all Dedicants begin regardless of prior
training or experience. We have a structured training program and there is a good deal of
work both academic, magickal and personal which a Dedicant is asked to work through while
also getting to know us and vice versa. Each person who requests to join the Grove should
be very honest about the amount of time they truly have to give. Attendance is very
important and is stressed as such. We expect a person to give as much commitment to the
Grove as the Grove will give to them.
We actively train people for the Traditional Priesthood of the Wica. If this is not your goal
and intention, please visit the Tennessee page of Witchvox to find another group that will
be more suited to your desires. You may find our listing on Witchvox here.
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently closed to new Dedicants until Samhain 2008. We are happy
to accept our questionnaire (linked below) and hold it until that time for those who are
interested in establishing contact with us before then.
